Fischel | Kahn proudly announces David Inlander will be honored with the Diversity Scholarship Foundation’s 2022 Advocate for Diversity Award at the Unity Award Gala event on December 6, 2022. The award will be presented by Honorable Jesse Reyes, Justice of the Illinois Appellate Court.
David is being recognized for his commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion throughout his career, including his work with the American Jewish Committee (AJC) as past chair of the Interreligious Affairs Commission.
The Diversity Scholarship Foundation (DSF) is a Chicago-based nonprofit formally established in 2008 by a group of attorneys and judges dedicated to the advancement of diversity and inclusion in the legal industry. Each year, DSF hosts their annual Unity Dinner which raises funds for scholarships for law students from under-represented communities.
As a seasoned family law attorney with a focus on complex matrimonial mediation, collaborative and cooperative resolution processes for sophisticated clients, David brings a unique approach and style to his work with clients. His skills as a mediator stem from his commitment to applying alternative dispute resolution approaches to bring cases to an equitable conclusion.
A hallmark of David’s contributions to not only family law is his support of religious pluralism, democratic values and diversity. For many years, he has been active with the AJC and is the past chair of the organization’s Interreligious Affairs Commission. In this role, he helped to create and shape policy through meetings with the highest level of religious leadership in the United States, Mexico, Morocco, India, Israel and Indonesia. He has also appeared before Pope Francis four times in efforts to fight extremism and safeguard freedom of worship for all.
The 2022 Unity Award Gala and Awards Ceremony will be held at the Chicago Hilton on December 6. More information on the event can be found here.
