Ronald D. Menna Jr. to lead the prestigious biennial ISBA Allerton Conference

Ronald D. Menna Jr., Vice-Chair of the ISBA Civil Practice and Procedure Section Council, has been selected to lead ISBA’s invitation-only biennial Allerton Conference this spring. The Allerton conference calls together selected lawyers, judges and law school professors from around the state to discuss problems and seek improvements in various elements of the court system. The goal of the event is for attendees to offer suggestions for new Supreme Court rules and legislation sponsored by the ISBA as well as to propose innovative programs to the ISBA Board of Governors.

This year’s topic: Considerations for Effective Changes to the Code, Supreme Court Rules, and Rules of Evidence explores changes to the Illinois Code of Civil Procedure, the Illinois Rules of Evidence and the Illinois Supreme Court Rules with a particular focus on making civil litigation quicker and less expensive for our clients. Conference speakers include judges from the Illinois Supreme Court, Appellate Court, and Circuit Courts – as well as attorneys from around the State.
